Nintendo To Hold Nationwide Brawl Tournaments

In cooperation with Best Buy, Nintendo will be hosting four Super Smash Bros. Brawl tournaments across the nation, all culminating in a four-man Brawl for the top prize in New York City. The four tournament times and locations are (taken from Nintendo’s press release):

The first three regional winners will come to the NYC tournament, and the final brawl will be held there. All four finalists will receive a Wii, an additional Wiimote, and a copy of Brawl. The grand prize winner will additionally receive a crystal-coated Wii in place of a normal one, bearing a Brawl-based design, and a home theater system provided by Best Buy. The second, third and fourth place finishers will receive Best Buy gift cards for $1000, $500 and $250 respectively.

If you’re thinking of entering, keep in mind that only the first 256 people through the doors are going to get a chance to compete, so make sure to get in line early.
