Ubisoft yesterday announced they will be publishing Hell’s Kitchen: The Video Game for Wii and DS systems. The game is based on the show of the same name in which contestants work together and compete in kitchen tasks.
Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay lent his voice for the game and stated,
"I had a great time doing the voice for my own animation. Being in a video game is a new experience for me and I’m very pleased with the results."
Also released was a few details about the game:
- Chef Ramsay watches players’ every move and judges them as they progress by yelling at them, praising them or shutting down the kitchen if their skills don’t meet his expectations.
- As players progress, they’ll gain access to authentic Gordon Ramsay recipes, including many that are offered exclusively to game owners.
- In Career Mode, players can earn stars to build their way up from a Single-Star restaurant to a prestigious Five-Star establishment. As the player advances through the ranks, their star rating advances and the recipes become more varied and intricate.
- In Arcade Mode, the pressure builds as customers become increasingly demanding. Players will be challenged to keep up with the pressure before time is up, or Chef Ramsay loses patience and closes the kitchen.
Currently the game is set to be released sometime in September of this year. The box art also shows the game has a Teen rating, so those expecting to hear some of the famous colorful expletive words from Ramsay may have to cope with censoring.
Screenshots and box art were also released and can be seen in the media section above.
I’ve played a bit of the PC version and it really did remind me of Diner Dash/Cakemania type games. Honestly though I really admire Gordon Ramsay for his brutal honesty and passion for what he does. However just because he says he’s pleased with it doesn’t mean anything as his past history with endorsements does demonstrate.

DO WANT!
Even though I have the PC version already.
