WiiWare: Strong Bad’s Cool Game For Attractive People Episode 1: Homestar Ruiner, 1,000 Wii Points

One of the most popular characters on HomestarRunner.com finally gets his own video game, an adventure title. This game closely resembles point-and-click adventures such as Sam and Max, also by Telltale, but is filled to the brim with Strong Bad-esque humor. Be careful, however, as this game makes no attempt to ease you into the world of Homestar Runner, so some self-initiation is recommended. As you try to solve Strong Bad’s self-imposed problem, you’ll play Videlectrix games, create Teen Girl Squad comics, and more.

TurboGrafx-16: Break In, 700 Wii Points

This pool title is seeing the American shores for the first time, and sports a higher price tag as a result. You can play one of six different pool games with up to three friends, and utilizemodes like Simulation Mode to set up the perfect shot, or Action Mode to review your previous shots. Break In seems to be equipped with the tools for making a Break In beginner into an expert.

TurboGrafx-16 CD-ROM: Super Parodier, 900 Wii Points

This irreverent shooter lets you play as the Paro Ceaser from Star Soldier, Bomberman, or a Turbografx-16 machine itself, as you blast your way through the comical atmosphere that this game provides. Enjoy throwing bombs or CD-ROM discs at enemies, as they wave white flags in surrender. In addition to the normal game mode, Star Parodier contains the 2-minute and 5-minute time attack modes representative of the Star Soldier games.

I’ve been waiting to get my hands on Strong Bad for a little while, not necessarily for the gameplay, but for the humor. Otherwise, Star Parodier sounds like it could add some mild gameplay value to what could be an average shooter.
