Wii Finds Its Marbles Again

The Kororinpa series returns to Wii next spring with Marble Saga: Kororinpa, the sequel to the original Marble Mania. While the single-player mode, wherein you represent Anthony the Ant in his quest to gain the Golden Sunflower, will feature more than 150 levels to explore, publisher Hudson Entertainment seems to be promoting two other facets of the game: multiplayer and Balance Board integration.

Marble Saga features 4-player local multiplayer, and the ability to create and share stages via the Wii Message Board or receive new ones from Hudson; players can also rank their best times via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. In addition, players can use the Wii Balance Board to control the world their marbles traverse if they so wish. There are even customization features to the game, including custom stage creation, custom marble creation, and Mii integration.

Marble Saga: Kororinpa will be in stores Spring 2009.

I never played the original Kororinpa, but it looked like fun, so I may rent this once it comes out to see how it is.

The first one was excellent. I’m glad Hudson decided to develop a sequel!

The first one was good. I wonder if they will ever bring back Marble Madness for the Wii. I loved that game on the old school NES
