Yesterday there was speculation around the web that SEGA would be the publisher for The Conduit. On their press site, a folder was created with the name of the game, then later removed.
Today that folder is back up and with it comes official word that SEGA will indeed be the publisher High Voltage Software has been seeking for the game. Speaking of the partnership, SEGA of America President Simon Jeffery stated:
The Conduit is one of the most talked-about Wii games this year and High Voltage Software has only scratched the surface of the game in terms of what they have shown so far. They have proven that graphical and technological innovation can be exciting to the Wii market, and SEGA is thrilled to partner with a team that truly shares our belief in the Wii’s gaming potential beyond the casual market.
The game will make use of the Wii Speak peripheral for online multiplayer and the Wii MotionPlus for better control. According to SEGA, the game is still on track for a spring 2009 release.
I’m very happy for the guys at High Voltage Software. When I had a chance to talk to them, they were genuinely excited for their game. I hope it does well for all parties involved since it might help bring to Wii what some are craving.

Awesome! Now Spring 2009 needs to come faster XD
