GameDaily.com released a new ten question interview with Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. Issues he talks about are whether or not Nintendo is listening to its fan base and marketing.
At one point Reggie points to the casual crowd as being slower to understand what they’re advertising than the normal customers:
Marketing is shaped by what’s appropriate for a particular game. While it might seem to some that games that appeal to the expanded audience get more attention, that’s probably because the expanded audience has a steeper learning curve.
The full interview is two pages long and can be read at GameDaily.com.
I’m glad to see some candor coming from Reggie. It seems though no matter what Nintendo says at the moment, the hardcore Nintendo fans won’t be pleased, gauging by the response on forums to this interview.
