DSiWare: Nintendo DSi Browser, Free
The first free DSI application is a free, Opera-powered web browser, not unlike the one released for the Nintendo DS. This browser promises to utilize the DSi’s dual-screen nature and touch-screen abilities, and can work wherever a wireless Internet connection is available.
DSiWare: Bird & Beans, 200 Nintendo Points
This odd game has you playing as Pyoro, a small but hungry bird, as he aims to catch beans with his long tongue. The more you catch, the higher you score, but should any miss, they’ll create a hole in the ground and shrink your playfield. Another gameplay option has Pyoro spitting out seeds at a high speed, in order to obtain even more beans.
DSiWare: Master of Illusion Express: Funny Face, 200 Nintendo Points
This magic trick culled from Master of Illusion will impress your friends, when you draw a face on the touch screen and it tells your audience which card they picked. The Vanishing Card trick is also included.
DSiWare: Art Style: AQUIA, 500 Nintendo Points
The Art Style series continues on DSiWare. This game will have you matching up colored blocks, three in a row, in order to help a deep sea diver explore the depths of the ocean. If you should fail to clear blocks, though, your vision will fade as the diver’s air slowly runs out. Try your hand at Timed Mode or Free Mode, or look at sea creatures in the Aquarium.
DSiWare: WarioWare: Snapped!, 500 Nintendo Points
This newest WarioWare title will have you controlling the action with your body, as the built-in cameras capture your actions and translate them into in-game actions. Play with one of four WarioWare characters, as they deliver you their specific brand of microgames, or play with a friend.
DSiWare: Brain Age Express: Math, 800 Nintendo Points
This title is a slightly more condensed version of the highly popular Brain Age games, focusing on the math portions of the game. Train your brain with Change Maker, Triangle Math, Sum Totaled, Multi Tasker and others, or else try out some photography, voice acting, or drawing challenges in the Themes mode. And of course, there’s Virus Buster if you should ever want a break.
WiiWare: Equilibrio, 500 Nintendo Points
This game will utilize either the Wii Remote or the Wii Balance Board, as you guide a small ball toward its exit by tilting the world around it. As you play through the game, avoiding obstacles and long falls, the game’s difficulty will adjust to your skill level. 64 levels are included in this package.
SNES: Uncharted Waters: New Horizons, 800 Nintendo Points
This particular 1994 title falls under the "Simulation" and "RPG" genres, according to the press release. Playing as one of six characters, you’ll sail the seven seas, exploring foreign ports and making exciting discoveries in this Age of Discovery.
That’s a pretty good starting lineup for DSiWare, I think. Here’s holding the DSi Browser doesn’t have horrible page load times. My question is, why is WarioWare less expensive than Brain Age Express?
This is a pretty lame lineup actually. It was on the system yesterday and they carried it over for the "update" today. They even said this was the launch lineup for the DSi so they used it twice. Oh well, here’s hoping we get something else next week.
