Nintendo has updated the Wii Menu to version 4.2 today. Once you download it, you won’t find any added features, but those with homebrew installed on their Wii are likely to find it no longer functional, or in existence at all. 4.2 seems to exist to eliminate the Homebrew Channel and related efforts, while non-homebrewers are unlikely to see any changes in functionality or improved performance, according to reports.
Nintendo and the Pirates: it’s practically like a sitcom now. I can’t really fault Nintendo, though; piracy is easier than they would like, and that probably eats into their profits by a noticeable amount.
