Reggie Fils-Aime from Nintendo of America
Reggie Fils-Aime, of Nintendo of America, has revealed that Nintendo is not going to be aiming for a 2010 release date of the next Wii installment of The Legend of Zelda series. On a recent episode of GameTrailers TV, he told host Geoff Keighley that "We haven’t committed to Zelda in 2010". There is not that much news about the game yet, but I’m sure they will not take the chance to rush this one, especially with this delay.
Hopefully this gives Nintendo a chance to really make a smooth-running, great quality Zelda game. It will be a nice change in pace for Nintendo to add yet another amazing first-party game to their extensive library of Wii games. At the same time, Nintendo has to please the fans in a decent amount of time, as it has been almost 3 years since the last major release on the Wii of Zelda. Hardcore Zelda fans have waited this long, so how will waiting a little bit longer be so bad?
I am more than happy to wait another year. Even though I’d like to play it sooner rather than later, I want them to make sure they spend enough time to get this one right.
Lol I knew it. Everyone was thinking a 2010 release and I was like "Not gonna happen"
2010 release was lolno. Any one of Miyamoto’s brainchildren (is that how you say it?) is going to take longer than that to get out of the oven, especially a major Zelda title like this one clearly is going to be. Ah well, the longer they take, the better it gets, with Zelda at least.
