A new version of BBC’s iPlayer application for the Opera Browser has been announced for the UK. If you don’t know what the BBC iPlayer is already, it is a web-page that can be accessed from the Wii’s Opera Browser that streams news (until now) from BBC. For the first time ever, the BBC iPlayer will now be its own Wii Channel, and you may now view content that isn’t being streamed (certain videos).
To get this new channel when it releases (11/18/09), you must have your Wii’s country set to the UK.
