The Limited Edition Black Wii
Last week in Europe, Nintendo Wii hardware went up 60% in sales. A big reason for this would be the new special edition black Wii.
Rob Lowe, senior product manager at Nintendo said, “Of course it would be wrong to attribute all of this to Black Wii as we’re all starting to see a natural peak season uplift on all hardware. But we have been really pleased with Wii’s performance over the last couple of weeks and the new Black Wii has certainly contributed to that. In fact Black hardware sales have doubled week-on-week.”
With Christmas just around the corner, this could make a great gift for anybody who does not yet have a Wii. Also, if you’re interested then you better act quick, because it looks as if Nintendo doesn’t plan to keep this around past the end of the year.
If I didn’t already have a Wii myself I would definitely be wanting to pick up this sweet new look.
