For those of you who wondered how well the DSi XL would sell, the results are in, and apparently it has done very well! The system has sold 103,524 units within the first 2 days of the system being released in Japan (November 22nd), which ranks above the PSP Go’s launch, but is still lower than the original DSi’s launch sales.
For those of you who don’t know, the DSi XL is a "larger" version of the famous DSi, with 93% larger screens. These screens are aimed at an older audience, to broaden the gaming audience. What I’m wondering is how much of the customers are their "target" audience, and how many are Nintendo fanboys that buy everything that walks out the door.
Now that it has been released in Japan, a North American release date is confirmed for Q1 2010! For all of those that haven’t already bought a DSi, this is your chance to get an upgraded version of the hit system, and with little wait til the release date!
