Trailer for Okamiden: Chiisaki Taiyō
Earlier this year, Capcom announced that there would be a sequel to Okami. The original game didn’t exactly sell well, but it was accepted well by reviewers and those who played it. The DS sequel, Okamiden: Chiisaki Taiyō, will take place a few months after Okami and will feature a small, chibi-like version of Amaterasu which, appropriately enough, is named Chibiterasu.
Since Clover Studio, the developers of the original game, no longer exist, the same people who worked on the Wii port or Okami are the ones behind this new game. With the stylus controls, it seems like a perfect fit for the Celestial Brush in the game, which will probably feel even more natural than the Wii controls with Okami. Right now the game is set for release next year in Japan.
