Jake Gyllenhaal in Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Ubisoft has announced that they will be releasing a new game titled Prince of Persia:The Forgotten Sands. The game is slated to come out in May 2010 alongside the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time movie.
As of right now there is still no word as to what systems the game will be on. The fact that the other Sands of Time games were on Nintendo consoles as well points to it making it to the Wii or DS (there is still speculation on whether it will be a console or handheld game). Why does it matter about the SoT trilogy when the most recent PoP game was not on a Nintendo system? Well, Ubisoft has said that the game’s storyline will be going back to the Sands of Time trilogy. Since the movie is based at least somewhat on The Sands of Time, it doesn’t seem that this will be directly related in any way.
If you’re interested in possibly finding out more info on the game, you might want to check Spike TV on December 12th for the Video Game Awards, because according to the official Prince of Persia website they will be revealing the game there.
