Since being released in 2006, the Wii has risen to popularity all around the world, particularly in the UK, where the system has earned the crown of the "fastest-selling console of all time." Yup, you heard that right, the Wii has become the fastest selling console in UK history, selling over 6 million units within 3 years. This is probably a land-mark number of sales for Nintendo, especially in the UK.
Things have been looking good for Nintendo lately, and this is not any different. The only concern is that Nintendo has to create a follow-up console that is better than the Wii to raise the record sales even higher.
