Today, the company Majesco Entertainment has announced that their next title will be exclusively for Wii, and will be called Attack of the Movies 3D. The game will be a 3D shooter, and is being developed by Panic Button Games. Gui Karyo, Executive Vice President of Operations for Majesco, said that "We all dream about being the hero in our favorite action movies. Attack of the Movies 3D lets you live that experience out with a realism and dimensionality previously only found in movie theaters."

Like any other shooter would, the game will have players shooting their way through six different worlds (inhabited by different monsters and enemies), all of which are inspired by different films. The game will also feature different weapons based on movie genres for the player to use throughout the game.

Attack of the Movies 3D is different from normal shooters, boasting 3D visuals that will require 3D glasses to see. Luckily, the game ships with 4 pairs of 3D glasses, to use in all game modes. Whether the game will have online capabilities or not is unannounced, but we will probably see more about it closer to the release date, which Majesco said is around Spring 2010.

I would love to get this game, as I love movies, but I would really have to see what kind of 3D glasses that they would bundle with the game. I know that sounds very picky, but my eyes have always never enjoyed the classic red-blue layout, which is why I’m hoping that they supply the game with better quality 3D glasses. An alternative solution would be to also include a 2D version of the game (which would be a good move on Majesco’s part.)
