New Nintendo Buildings Nearing Completion

It seems that the new building project Nintendo has embarked on for their Redmond offices may be closer to completion, nearly 2 years after the proposition made by the company.  On April 4th, 2008, Nintendo of America filed a notice of application to the city of Redmond for construction of a new facility.

The project details were as follows:

The proposed development consists of the demolition of six existing buildings (163,500 SQ FT) and the construction of a new office building of 275,250 SQ FT with 820 parking stall garage.  the building will include offices, an auditorium, cafeteria and exercise facility and support spaces.  Upon completion of the new structure, building 4900 (120,000 SQ FT) will be demolished and the employees moved to the new facility.

A look on Google unfortunately doesn’t show any of the construction progress, but an actual visit to the area shows the building looks to be in the finishing stages.
