One of the artists that Rock Band 2 players have been clamoring for has finally arrived in the music store: Jimi Hendrix. The entire Axis: Bold as Love album, with the exception of “Fire” from Lego Rock Band is up for download this week, including tunes like “Spanish Castle Magic” which hailed from the original Guitar Hero in 2005. The update also includes “Valleys of Neptune” from the recently-released album of the same name. All tracks cost 200 Nintendo Points and are downloaded in-game.

Harmonix also announced that the music of Jimi Hendrix will be exclusive to the Rock Band platform from this point on.
Well, this is a huge score for Harmonix and music fans everywhere. If they were able to get the support of the Hendrix family, maybe we can finally convince Led Zeppelin to trust them with their masters.
