New Information About Pokemon Black And White

Nintendo has recently announced a release date and more for their latest games from the Pokemon franchise, Pokemon Black and White.

Not too long after the release of Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSiver in North America and Europe, Nintendo has announced the release date for their next batch of games, Pokemon Black and White. Previously only given a release date in the East, Nintendo has said that the games will be arriving in the West Spring of 2011. This gives you enough time to train your Pokemon in HeartGold and SoulSilver for the next rendition of the franchise, and get your Pokedex completed in time for the onslaught of new Pokemon that will be sure to come.

Managing Director Marketing and PR of Nintendo Europe Laurent Fischer said that “It’s rare to find a franchise with such worldwide appeal and dedicated fans as Pokemon. We’re excited to inform our fans that this eagerly anticipated adventure, featuring an all-new generation of Pokemon, will be available in Europe in spring 2011.” Adding to the previous list of Pokemon from the new generation comes the legendary Pokemon for this game, Zekrom (Black) and Reshiram (white). Below are some pictures:

I like the look of the legendary Pokemon so far, quite an upgrade from the starters that were previously released. I do hope that it keeps on getting better, but I’m mainly focused on the storyline. In my opinion, these are more of the same games, and if they want to keep the attention of all the gamers, they have to innovate, not just with features, but with stories also.
