Some very puzzling games are headed your way this week.

DSiWare: Spin Six, 500 Nintendo Points

In this puzzle game, you need to rotate colored and numbered panels in order to make them disappear; you can increase your score significantly by putting together chains, a la Puzzle League. Play over 200 puzzles in Puzzle mode, or try out your various skills in Time Attack, Score Attack, or Chain Challenge.

DSiWare: Puffins: Let’s Fish!, 500 Nintendo Points

The Puffins are done rolling, and have moved on to fishing. Swim around the ocean in search of delicious capelin fish, but beware of other predators like sharks or jellyfish, who will try to eat you through the game’s 18 stages.

DSiWare: Mega Words, 500 Nintendo Points

This word puzzle game has three modes: Word Scrambler, Hangman, and Anagram Hunt. The title also boasts an “extensive” dictionary to challenge master wordsmiths.

DSiWare: Super Swap, 500 Nintendo Points

In a much more similar style to Puzzle League, you’re dragging colored loops in one of four directions in order to match them into lines of three and clear the board. The game also boasts power-ups and several play modes.

DSiWare: Legendary Wars: T-Rex Rumble, 800 Nintendo Points

You are the leader of one of the only groups of humans currently on the planet; take control of over 20 men and use them to obtain food and fight off predators. Gather knowledge, increase your group size, and take over, controlling your men with your DSi stylus.

WiiWare: Art Style: Rotozoa, 600 Nintendo Points

You are a rotozoan, and you need to grow your tentacles by touching goobugs, but only if the colors all match up. The game’s difficulty varies from very easy to very hard, as you play one of several game modes. The longer the tentacles grow, the harder the game gets.

WiiWare: The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Chaotic Conflicts, 1,000 Nintendo Points

In this book-style puzzle game from Square Enix, you need to toss bears into the story in order to protect the blue gems from the young and mysterious boy Kina, and the battles that come along.

WiiWare: The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Puzzling Pages, 1,000 Nintendo Pages

In this book-style puzzle game from Square Enix, you need to toss bears into the story in order to protect the red candies residing in the story’s mansion, containing a young girl named Pina.

An interesting branching out for Square Enix, with these Bearsworth Manor games. I like it when they do things that aren’t Final Fantasy or Dragon Quest.
