Nyko didn’t bring much to the table as far as Nintendo accessories, but if you’ve ever wanted a Wand controller in colors of the rainbow, I’ve got excellent news for you.

Nyko has recently been bumped down a few notches on my list of top accessory makers for Nintendo. This is mostly due to the fact they seem to be scaling back their Nintendo accessory offerings as of late. Although they didn’t have much to show me on the Nintendo side of things, I was quite impressed with their Raven controller for PlayStation 3.
For the Wand, ten new colors are coming soon which seemed to nearly cover all the colors of the rainbow. They’re your standard Wand controller, just in more desirable colors. As for the Wand+, that’s getting a new treatment in the form of a special rubber textured controller. Available in black, gray, or black & white, this new controller has a special finish that makes it incredibly comfortable to hold and cool to the touch. These controllers will also have Wii MotionPlus built right into them as well.
That was it for the Nintendo related products, but next up was a bonanza of PS3 accessories starting with the Raven. The Raven controller comes in two configuration, Core and Pro. If you’re looking for a PS3 controller to mimick an Xbox 360 controller, the Pro is what you’re looking for. On the controller, one analog stick is placed to the northwest of the D-pad instead of next to the analog stick on the right side as is tradition of PlayStation controllers. These controllers are all coated with that special rubber that feels exactly as the Wand+ felt when I tried it. It is wireless and has a mini USB charging spot, that is similar to the Dual Shock 3.
Lastly I was briefly shown the PS3 Intercooler for the slim model, which I presume cools your system down while being powered by the system. This particular product came in a package smaller than the original. Nyko is also hoping to cash in on the 3D craze and is offering an “HDMI 3D Cable” which appeared to have gold connectors, but was never confirmed.
Honestly I was a bit disappointed to hear that Nyko isn’t bringing more to the Nintendo crowd. Hopefully in the future they will offer more, but until then they’ve definitely slipped a few notches in the accessory race in my book.
