Nintendo Download: 7/19/10

Raise animals, solve puzzles, manage a hospital, shoot some hoops, and more.

DSiWare: Petz Kittens, 800 Nintendo Points

The Petz brand takes downloadable form, letting you adopt some kittens. Choose from a number of breeds to feed, clean, and play with.

DSiWare: Scrabble Tools, 500 Nintendo Points

This title helps improve your Scrabble skills with a variety of training games. This title seeks to improve your vocabulary, pattern recognition and point-getting abilities.

DSiWare: Hospital Havoc, 500 Nintendo Points

Patients are being rushed into your hospital with some rather wacky conditions, and you need to get them out as quick as you can in this time-management game. Playing on one of three difficulty levels, make your way through 20 career stages with your personalized doctor-and-nurse team, grabbing powerups to make things easier.

DSiWare: Happy Birthday Mart, 500 Nintendo Points

You run a store for buying gifts for friends in this simulation title from Pixel Federation. Serve customers, maintain your store, and more through 24 different minigames.

DSiWare: Crazy Sudoku, 200 Nintendo Points

Yet another Sudoku title hits DSiWare. This game offers five levels of difficulty, two different size grids (6×6 and 9×9), and a two-player option.

WiiWare: AquaSpace, 600 Nintendo Points

Turn your TV into an aquarium with AquaSpace. Once you pick out your fish and decorations, you can watch them go by, read up on different fish, or send your Mii to go on a dive with them. Watch as fish grow and give birth to other fish over the course of their lifetimes.

WiiWare: Furry Legends, 1,000 Nintendo Points

Hop into Furland, populated by some highly unusual creatures, in this puzzle platformer. Each character that you play as has a different ability, like slowing down time, to help you get past the game’s various physics-based puzzles and defend Furland from Lord Squarie.

WiiWare: HoopWorld, 1,000 Nintendo Points

You and your teammates must honor the ancient Elders by engaging in their ancient practice of basketball. Like NBA Jam, the game brings powerups and fighting to the table to keep the three-on-three action fast and furious. You can play this alone or with a friend, and track your scores online.

I’m a bit bummed at the lack of variety here; it feels like everything here has been done before on WiiWare in some form (especially the Sudoku). We need to get another LostWinds or something.
