In honor of the 10th anniversary of the Pokemon games Gold & Silver, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company International have decided to give players the opportunity to catch their very own Mew–but only for a limited time. However, you have to own a copy of Pokemon HeartGold or SoulSilver, and will have to be connected to the Nintendo WiFi Connection. Once connected, access the Mystery Gift option, and you’ll receive a Mew. The Mew you’ll get will start at level 5, only know one move, and comes in a Cherish Ball with a Premier Ribbon. However, this wasn’t the first time Mew has been offered to players. Back in 2006 Toys R’ Us had a similar event, but for Pokemon Emerald. Our lucky neighbors across the ocean (Japanese) also got Mew last year as their anniversary of Gold & Silver.

Anyone else regret not having purchased HeartGold/SoulSilver? I decided to skip over this one (having gotten every one previous and wanted the next to be refreshing), and don’t know if it will pay off. Maybe I can snag myself one of these from a friend before the offer ends.
