Confirmed: Red Wii & DSi XL, Wii Remote Plus Stateside

Although the US will be saying hello to new color in hardware, the contents aren’t the same.

It has been confirmed by Nintendo of America that the rumored Red Nintendo DSi XL Bundle and FlingSmash Bundle (with Wii Remote Plus) will be heading to the US.  The company also stated that it will be bringing the Red Wii Bundle in honor of Mario’s 25th anniversary.  Unlike the Japanese counterpart, the US red Wii will not include a pre-installed copy of the special 25th anniversary Super Mario Bros.

I stated in a recent podcast that I knew these were going to come out in the US due to NOA not wanting to miss a gravy train chance!  Glad to know that I was right because that red Wii is awesome looking.
