We see our first Rock Band 3 DLC, and some of it is free!
As Rock Band 3 graces the shores of North America, Harmonix is celebrating by offering lots of DLC from classic rock band The Doors. A twelve-pack of Doors tunes is in the Rock Band 3 Music Store (and that store exclusively – no more Rock Band 2 DLC, except for Rock Band Network tracks for a bit). Three of the tracks, “Light My Fire”, “Riders on the Storm” and “Touch Me”, are available for free for the next week, after which they become 200 Nintendo Points each, not including the extra cost for the Pro Guitar tracks. All the tracks cost 200 Nintendo Points minus Pro Guitar and Pro Bass, but they are available right now as a 1,500-point track for all twelve songs.
“Light My Fire” X (Free from Oct. 26 – Nov. 1 in game, features Pro Guitar and Pro Bass)
“Riders on the Storm” X (Free from Oct. 26 – Nov. 1 in game, features Pro Guitar and Pro Bass)
“Touch Me” X (Free from Oct. 26 – Nov. 1 in game, features Pro Guitar and Pro Bass)
“Hello, I Love You”
“L.A. Woman”
“Love Her Madly”
“Love Me Two Times”
“Peace Frog”
“People Are Strange”
“Roadhouse Blues”
“Soul Kitchen”
“The Crystal Ship”
Additionally, another eight tracks ahve migrated over to the Wii’s store from the Rock Band Network. All tracks this week are 200 Nintendo Points.
Band of Horses – “The Funeral”
Bif Naked – “Sick”
Clutch – “The Mob Goes Wild”
Demon Hunter – “Collapsing”
In This Moment – “Mechanical Love”
of Montreal – “Heimdalsgate Like a Promethean Curse”
The Shins – “So Says I”
Testament – “Henchmen Ride”
Man, there is no reason not to pick up free DLC if you have Rock Band 3 already. Doors stuff is generally great on keys, if Break on Through (To the Other Side) is any indication.
