Nintendo Has Big Sales Boost for the Holidays

The holidays are only beginning and Nintendo is already starting strong.

If you remember in a earlier post, Nintendo snatched up 1.5 million console units (Wii and DS systems) in the Thanksgiving weekend. Well, Nintendo has totaled their numbers and they have sold over 2.7 million consoles for the November month. This number is comprised of 1.2 million Wii systems and 1.5 million Nintendo DS units, which is what NPD Group had reported. This boost in sales could be what it needs to continue to contend with the Microsoft’s Kinect.

This probably helped a lot

Well this is good news to hear. I think they’re deals during the Thanksgiving weekend and the release of the Mario red Wii really helped it along in sales. Let us see what December has in store for Nintendo.
