You’ll be making lots of music with this week’s update. Or racing lines. Or shooting down fish ships.
This week’s WiiWare demo is for lint line.
DSiWare: Little Red Riding Hood’s Zombie BBQ, 800 Nintendo Points
Fairytale Land is under attack by zombies, and it’s up to Little Red Riding Hood to restore order by shooting everything she sees. Go through a wide variety of weapons as you clean up the undead hordes.
DSiWare: Jam Space: PocketStudio, 500 Nintendo Points
Another portable music studio shows up on DSiWare. This app has two modes: Quick Jam mode, which lets you lay out a quick melody on the in-game instruments, and Studio mode, which lets you take your melody and edit it into a musical masterpiece.
DSiWare: Just SING! Christmas Songs, 200 Nintendo Points
The second iteration of Just SING! games has you singing along to timely Christmas songs. Sing tunes like “Silent Night” or “Jingle Bells” as the DSi microphone tracks your pitch and rates your score. Try for the top score on every song.
WiiWare: lilt line, 500 Nintendo Points
Tap your button to the beat in order to race along the rhythm line in this quirky and award-winning racing/music title. Try not to be too wowed by the unorthodox visuals as you race through the game’s 15 levels.
WiiWare: Family Games, 500 Nintendo Points
The whole family can play these classic pen-and-paper games, now without the hassle of pen and paper. Play games like Dots, Mill, Hangman, 4-in-a-Row, Tic-Tac-Toe, Safe Cracker and more, each with numerous rule variations. Play your family and friends in Tournament mode, or try to unlock some of the 20 achievements.
WiiWare: Violin Paradise, 700 Nintendo Points
Use your Wii Remote to emulate a violin or other stringed instrument in this orchestra-centric game. Up to four players can play cooperatively as the violinist, violist, cellist or conductor, and the game characters play along. If you play well enough, you can add more objects to the background for a richer visual experience.
SNES: Darius Twin, 800 Nintendo Points
A classic SNES shooter makes its way to WiiWare. Play as Proco and Tiat as you fight to reclaim the galaxy, and your home planet Darius, from the evil forces of Belser. Plow through enemies and destroy enormous warships as you play through a seven-level game with twelve total levels and branching paths. This iteration of the Darius series put a heavy emphasis on cooperative play.
Holy cow I am freaking out over Darius Twin, I’ve been waiting for this for years. Avid Nintendo Gal readers will remember I wrote a tribute piece to this game almost exactly one year ago today, which you can see by clicking here. I am downloading this so hard I might accidentally buy it twice.
