Disney Epic Mickey’s Soundtrack To Be Released Next Week

The wonderful soundtrack for Warren Spector’s latest masterpiece Epic Mickey has been given a release date of December 21st.More great near-Christmas news, as a new press release revealed that Epic Mickey‘s soundtrack will be released on digital shelves such as iTunes and many other providers on December 21st, 2010. The soundtrack is composed by Emmy Award winning composer Jim Dooley, and [from what I've heard] he certainly deserves that large title.

Warren Spector (Epic Mickey Creator) commented on Dooley, saying that “Jim Dooley perfectly understood the concept of classic Disney sound and was able to compose a slightly off-center feel to match the unique world of Wasteland in Disney Epic Mickey. The intuition and skill that makes Jim Dooley one of the industry’s top musical talents is represented in Disney Epic Mickey. The range of emotions in his score is simply stunning and one that fans will enjoy both within the game and on its own.”

Along with the press release, a new video has been released:

As for the game, that has been out since November 30th, and is quite the gem for Wii owners (and if you’re a Disney fan it’s a must!), so be sure to pick it up next time you’re tempted to try something new.

Great soundtrack? Great game? Check, and check…can’t wait to play it, just seeing the distorted “Partners” statue in that video makes me giddy.
