Gamestop has begun to take pre-orders even without an official price.
With just a small deposit of $25 or more, you can reserve your own Nintendo 3DS at your local Gamestop. Reservations began across the US on the 26 of December which hints at the coming of the 3DS to be very soon. Nintendo stated that if the GS cannot find the 3DS in their systems, the SKU for it is 020132.
While the Japanese price of the system is around $300 USD, Nintendo has not released an official price point for it. It is expected to get a price some time in January at the Nintendo event.
If only I had $300 to put on the system, I’d jump on it. I really hope they release it with a bundled game like the Wii, that showcases the 3D capabilities.
