The Nintendo DS has taken the USA limelight.
For years, the Playstation 2 has remained at the top of the United States sales chart, but now that seat has been overthrown by Nintendo’s portable hit. In 6 years, the Nintendo DS has sold over 47 million units across the US. These figures make the DS the US’s fastest and best-selling video games system.
Also stated was that for the third consecutive year, the Nintendo Wii has sold over 7 million units; bringing the system to a total of 34 million units in the United States.
With the Nintendo 3DS just on the horizon, I wonder how this will skew the DS’s sales. I can’t imagine by much, but I’m sure Nintendo is excited to see how their newest console plays out.
