Puzzles, action and gymnastics are the flavor of the week.
This week’s free WiiWare demos are for Lit and Urbanix.
DSiWare: G.G Series Dark Spirits, 200 Nintendo Points
The newest G.G Series game places you in a side-scrolling shooter. Destroy your enemy by utilizing the four familiars that surround your vessel, changing their positions with the press of a button. Each enemy you destroy lets you change a familiar’s weapon or level it up; level up each familiar independently, mixing and matching for optimal strategy.
DSiWare: Boom Boom Squaries, 200 Nintendo Points
The Furries are under attack from the diabolical Squaries, and you’re going to have to pop them via a series of chain reactions. Different Squaries will have different abilities, such as split, gravity, or air blast; use them to your advantage to get the best combos. Try 40 levels in Classic Mode or 40 Challenges, or you can try out Time Trial or Endless modes.
DSiWare: 505 Tangram, 500 Nintendo Points
Tangram is a simple concept with difficult execution: given a group of differently shaped blocks, recreate the shapes you see above you. There are 505 puzzles to tackle here, ranging in difficulty from easy to very hard. You can play with the +pad or with the stylus, and save puzzles in mid-play to come back to them. The game also includes statistics for major Tangram fans.
DSiWare: Shawn Johnson Gymnastics, 500 Nintendo Points
Rise through the ranks of competitive gymnastics in this DSiWare title featuring Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson. Train yourself in Practice Mode, then hit the competitive stage and work your way up the ranks, eventually moving on to the World Championships.
WiiWare: Spot the Differences!, 500 Nintendo Points
This WiiWare title contains 160 different pictures with1,600 differences to spot, across three levels of difficulty. Try out Arcade, Time Attack or Select Scenes mode by yourself, or play with up to four players in multiplayer mode.
NES: S.C.A.T., 500 Nintendo Points
An evil alien force led by Supreme Commander Vile Malmort is preparing to destroy the Earth in the year 2029. The world’s scientists have banded together and created the Special Cybernetic Attack Team S.C.A.T. in order to repel the alien invaders. Fight off enemies and commandeer their weapons systems. Play by yourself or with a friend.
I’m a fan of the G.G Series games, quick and dirty yet fun affairs for a small price. Also, NintendoGal is a fan of Tangram, so I might need to look into that.
