This week’s free WiiWare demos are for Rage of the Gladiator and Learning with the PooYoos: Episode 1.
DSiWare: G.G Series Drift Circuit, 200 Nintendo Points
This racing title throws plenty of twists and turns at you, and you’ll have to master the art of drifting if you want to succeed. Complete the conditions specified at the start of the race and then win. Play on Easy, Normal or Hard difficulties.
DSiWare: Arctic Escape, 500 Nintendo Points
A crazy scientist has kidnapped penguins from Antarctica, and you need to get them back home by guiding them through over 100 puzzle levels. Have the penguins walk, jump and wait on your command to get past obstacles like wolves or broken ice.
DSiWare: Remote Racers, 500 Nintendo Points
Another racing title shows up on DSiWare this week. Pick one of vehicles and race on one of fifteen tracks against the computer or the clock. Pick up power-ups to transform your vehicle, in order to complete 32 challenges in eight championships.
WiiWare: Jewel Keepers: Easter Island, 500 Nintendo Points
Professor H. has received a request for help from Hanga Roa, the capital of Easter Island. He quickly takes off with his granddaughter Ivie and assistant Joel to unravel the mysteries of Easter Island.
WiiWare: Cozy Fire, 500 Nintendo Points
Turn your TV into a fireplace with Cozy Fire. Use the Wii Remote to stack logs, then light a match and relax. Use the Remote to tend to the fire as well. Choose from one of six different fireplaces and several modes, including Butler and Non-stop.
NES: Faxanadu, 500 Nintendo Points
The elven town of Eolis is in peril: the water has dried up, monsters are appearing, and the World Tree is slowly dying. Climb the World Tree and brave its dangers in order to reverse the corruption that is occurring. Wield magic and weapons to defeat your enemies as you solve the mystery.
I think I speak for everyone when I say the maximum number of virtual fireplaces you can buy should be one. That said, I’ve heard the name Faxanadu before and I think it might be held in fairly high regard, but Wikipedia doesn’t tell me much.
