Bummed about the reported battery life of the Nintendo 3DS? Well Nyko has a solution that fits right on the system. The company announced that the Nyko Power Pak+ will come with a high-capacity rechargeable battery pack. It has debossed finger rests for comfort and grip. If you want a solution that allows you to simply drop the pack into a cradle, Nyko will also be releasing the Nyko Charge Base which comes with a battery and base. The base has an on and off switch along with an LED indicator to let you know when your battery is done charging. Both products use the standard Nintendo 3DS AC adapter for recharging.
The Nyko Power Pak+ will be available March 27th for $19.99 while the Nyko Charge Base will retail for $29.99 and will launch shortly after the Nintendo 3DS becomes available.
I wonder how comfortable it is to hold and how much weight it will add to the system.
