Electronic Arts currently has a voting poll on ESPN for the Madden NFL 12 cover athlete. In the running is Philadelphia quarterback Michael Vick, who was charged with operating an unlawful interstate dog fighting venture known as “Bad Newz Kennels”. EA Sports President Peter Moore has said that the PETA organization has been in contact with the company in regards to Vick. Moore commented on the situation:
I can tell you we’ve already received the letters from our good friends at PETA urging us to take him out of the bracket. I’m not here to comment on what he did. I personally believe, and this is personal commentary right now, that Michael served his time. He’s had a tremendous season.
Vick moved on from the first round of voting by besting outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware from the Dallas Cowboys, 76% to 24%.

I fell that Vick served his time and should no longer be shunned for what is in the past.
