EA today had their press conference today before E3 week kicks off. While the company had plenty to show, much of it was not related to Nintendo.
Here’s a run down of what went down during the event:

Short Mass Effect 3 trailer plays. March 6th, 2012. Demo shown of heavy firepower. Characters still run weirdly. Fall of Earth trailer.

John Riccitiello takes the stage. Took a jab at other companies and said it doesn’t need celebrities to promote their games on stage. Talks about origin being place to watch new videos then hands it off to Jason Delong to talk about need for speed the run. Frostbite 2 engine. Live demo shown.

Bioware Greg Zeshcuk comes up with Star Wars music playing. Talks SWTOR. Trailer is shown.

Fog fills the stage. Snowboarders slide down a mountain. Trailer for SSX. Jan. 2012.

EA Sports, Peter Moore takes the stage. Talks SSX, Uses NASA satalite globe to map mountains. Race it, trick it, survive it. Three new ways to play. Talks about Fifa and how it’s huge and biggest sports game around the globe Matt Bilbey, VP and GM of football (soccer) for EA sports. Tactical defending. Precision dribbling. Player Impact engine. Trailer for Fifa shown. EA Sports Football club. Live service. Allows connecting online.

John R. comes back on. The Sims Social on Facebook. “You play with your friends” as a suggestive pic goes up.

Curt Shilling comes on the stage. Talks Reckoning from 38 studios. Trailer plays for the game.

Insomiac Games Ted Price takes the stage. Talks Overstrike that will come to PS3 as well as 360. Shwos trailer.

Battlefield 3 trailer. DICE Karl Magnus Troedsson general manager comes to talk about BF3. Frostbite 2 is used, shows off the engine. Short gameplay trailer from Paris shown. Battlelog, 100% free. Create clans add friends, etc. Sept. Multiplayer open beta. Live demo shown, shows tanks in a dessert then you go inside the tank. Tank battle with smoke/sand everywhere. Extremely realistic. Night vision helps with smoke. Can use satelite data and get infared of the area. October 25th.
