I’m very pleased to see that Ocarina of Time 3D sold as well as it did, though I’m not too surprised; it’s one of the most highly acclaimed video games in history. The DS is still selling respectably, with more than twice the sales of the 3DS, while the other two Nintendo systems take a close fourth, and a distant fifth. I think the 3DS is going to get its time in the spotlight this holiday season, when there are actually games to buy for it.
I’m surprised that Duke Nukem Forever wasn’t the best-selling game of the month. After so much hype, I thought that everybody would be dying to try the title out just to see how it ended up. I guess it worked better as a joke than an actual game, in the eyes of history. Still, though, I enjoyed what I played of it, quite a lot. I guess this means I need to try out L.A. Noire.
