Nintendo Download: 8/11/11

Game Boy: Avenging Spirit, $2.99

You are a man gunned down by an evil syndicate, but don’t let death stop you. You come back as a spirit bent on revenge, and also on saving his girlfriend. Play through six levels of this action platformer on your quest for vengeance and love.

DSiWare: My Asian Farm, $1.99/200 Nintendo Points

Like in the previous My Farm games, you start off with a single bird and have to work your way up by selling things at the local market. Earn Asian-themed items like a rickshaw or a pagoda, and trade with players of the other My Farm games.

DSiWare: Crazy Hamster, $1.99/200 Nintendo Points

Crazy Hamster forgot to collect supplies for the long winter, and now he needs to run like crazy to collect fruits across the various lands. He won’t stop running even to avoid traps, so you’ll have to disarm them for him.

DSiWare: Go! Go! Kokopolo, $7.99/800 Nintendo Points

You are a cat woken from your nap, and you need to exact revenge. You’ll chase down the villainous wakers across highways and through mazes, luring enemies into the hungry Snap Snap plants, where you’ll have to digest them as well. This game contains 80 levels across ten worlds, including ten boss stages.

WiiWare: Kyotokei, 500 Nintendo Points

The evil witch Rika is taking over the land of Estaria, and it’s up to siblings Kyo and Kei to defeat her in this shoot-’em-up. Fire bullets at the enemies to destroy them, or use your aura to absorb their firepower and then shoot it back. This game contains five levels, each with a powerful boss at the end, and can be played cooperatively with up to two players.

SNES: Super Adventure Island II, 800 Nintendo Points

Master Higgins has found a new love, Tina, but a hurricane has separated them onto different islands and given them both amnesia. Now Higgins has landed on Tina’s island, and must play through numerous platformer levels in order to get her back.

Avenging Spirit sounds like somewhat dark material for a children’s game. Kyotokei, on the other hand, reminds me of those impossible Touhou shooters.
