All the news from the Conference in one place.

Earlier this evening, Nintendo held a press conference in Japan to talk about their upcoming 3DS plans. The evening naturally started out with discussion of their upcoming Wii games, specifically The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, then moved on to discuss a large amount of 3DS news. Here are some of the things the 3DS system itself will be seeing soon:
- A 3DS firmware upgrade will be coming in November, which updates the Mii Plaza and the Nintendo eShop.
- 3D video capture will be made available by the same firmware update.
- Mr. Iwata noted more males use the 3DS than females.
- Nintendo will release a Misty Pink 3DS in October.
- 3DS and DSi owners will be able to download The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Anniversary Edition, a remake of the original Four Swords, on September 28th.
- Nintendo has officially confirmed the existence of the slide pad attachment. It will cost 1500 yen ($19.45) and be available December 10th in Japan. It will require an AAA battery.
- Slide pad compatible games include Monster Hunter 3G, Resident Evil: Revelations, Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D, Ace Combat 3D, Dynasty Warriors Vs. and Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance.
- Nintendo will be releasing a total of 28 3D trailers for the games revealed today.
There was also some game news available:
- The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword boasts between 50-100 hours of gameplay, according to creator Shigeru Miyamoto. In addition to hint movies like in Ocarina of Time, the game will feature a second quest and a boss rush mode.
- Super Mario 3D Land didn’t have much new news, but a new trailer for the game showed Bowser with a raccoon tail.
- Kid Icarus: Uprising has been delayed to 2012. In exchange, Nintendo will be releasing Kid Icarus animations on Nintendo Video, from such studios as Production I.G. (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex).
- The newly announced Mario Tennis for 3DS allows for gyroscopic control.
- Animal Crossing for 3DS will let players play as the village chief and build up the village. You can also decorate the outside of the house in addition to the inside. Lastly, players will be able to trade houses with each other via StreetPass.
- At the end of the conference, Nintendo revealed that Monster Hunter 4 was in development for 3DS.
