3D Classics: TwinBee, $4.99
This shooter game was only released in Japan back in the day, and now it’s in North America and in 3D. Take on waves of forces in the air and on the ground in your dual-armed TwinBee ship. If you lose your arms, look for an ambulance to repair your ship. Obtain bells and powerups to help you in your quest to defeat the enemy.
DSiWare: Break Tactics, $4.99/500 Nintendo Points
The Lancaster Empire and the Duchy of Meroving have been battling for years, and now you’re bringing in troops to turn the tide in this tactical RPG. You will recruit troops to your side, upgrade them with Break Points, and then deploy them on the battlefield, using the terrain to your advantage in order to defeat your enemies.
DSiWare: Escape Trick: Ninja Castle, $4.99/500 Nintendo
Escape the castle as quickly as you can. Solve puzzles, defeat enemies, make notes, and take pictures with the DSi Camera; all of these things will help you find your way out of the castle.
WiiWare: Aya and the Cubes of Light, 1,000 Nintendo Points
Cseom has removed the power sources of the Cubes of Light, and without them the stars will eventually disappear from the sky. Teleport from cube to cube in this action puzzler, but don’t get confused as gravity changes itself and other odd things happen.
It’s pretty cool seeing that Nintendo is still porting Japanese games over, and even upgrading them in some ways.
