Nintendo Direct Online Presentation Summary

Nintendo company president Satoru Iwata was host of a pre-recorded presentation, Nintendo Direct, which talked about the Nintendo 3DS.  The system will receive a firmware update in November in Japan.  Below is a list of what was talked about during the thirty seven minute recording.

- 3D recording, 10 minute limit
- many options including a frame by frame that allows for stop motion videos
- Find Mii will receive a new map
- Puzzle Mii getting new images including one that is Donkey Kong themed
- Mii Plaza will provide a general location of where the Mii is from
- Nintendo 3DS to 3DS transfer will be enabled with this firmware
- Mario Kart 7 has internet play, supports 8 players, 60 FPS
- Game will have SpotPass with a daily ghost data download
- 3,000 Mario themed Nintendo 3DS units will be given away
- Participants will all receive a copy of 3D Classics: Kid Icarus
- 3D Classics: Kid Icarus will eventually be a paid download
- Numerous games shown, trailers can be seen on Nintendo’s site
- Most trailers shown will be available in the eShop for viewing (Japan only)
- New Monster Hunter Tri 3G trailer (2nd video below)
