Zelda Marathon To Stream Skyward Sword For Charity

This Friday, November 11, a group of fellows in Bournemouth, England will be hosting a marathon of every Legend of Zelda game ever made, in anticipation of the release of Skyward Sword. Their expansive list of games includes offshoots like Link’s Crossbow Training, playing as Link in Soul Calibur II, and even the three infamously bad CD-i Zelda games. The marathon is scheduled to run for 210 consecutive hours, and will coincide with the European release of Skyward Sword, which occurs on November 18, two days before the U.S. release; they will be streaming the game live, so U.S. players will get a pre-release preview.

The event is supporting the GamesAid charity, a U.K.-based organization that makes donations to a number of British charities. Throughout the marathon, viewers are encouraged to make donations to the team, as the more money they raise, the more games they will end up playing. More information about the marathon, as well as viewing information, can be read here. The marathon begins this Friday at 10:00 a.m. GMT, which translates to 5:00 a.m. EST/2:00 a.m. PST.

I’ll definitely be watching the marathon and donating, but I’m not sure how much Skyward Sword I’ll watch, if any. I don’t want to have too much of the game spoiled.
