eShop: Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive!, $6.99
This game challenges players to create their own “formees”, oddly shaped creatures that people of any age can either slap together or intricately design. Once you’re created a formee, you can use it to explore a virtual world, finding food and making new friends. The more you explore, the more parts you can unlock to create more formees. These creatures can be shared via StreetPass, or they can be turned into a QR code for distribution.
DSiWare: Castle Conqueror – Heroes, $4.99/500 Nintendo Points
The third game in the strategy series shows up on DSiWare. This game takes place in the middle of a revolution on the Green Planet, whose government has surrendered to the oppressive Empire. This strategy game has 9 chapters with two difficulty settings, offering 20 hours of gameplay.
DSiWare: Bloons TD, $4.99/500 Nintendo Points
Bloons TD takes the Bloons franchise and brings it into a tower defense framework. Guard the balloon’s path with towers and dart monkeys, or perhaps even the fabled Super Monkey. Pop all the balloons before they escape in each of the game’s 50 levels.
WiiWare: Step Up!, 1,000 Nintendo Points
In the wake of the massive popularity of Wii Fit, GolemLabs has collaborated with experts from the historic Laval University in Quebec City to deliver Step Up! This game offers a number of aerobic workouts to help the player burn calories, using moves that are easy to understand and remember.
Am I the only one tired of tower defense games? At the very least change things up, like in Orcs Must Die! on XBLA.
