After months of fan support from gamers eager to see more epic Wii titles, Nintendo of America has finally announced that one of the most requested titles, Xenoblade Chronicles, will be coming to North America in April 2012. This RPG title “combines science fiction and fantasy” and takes place in an open world of “overwhelming” size, according to creator Tetsuya Takahashi. Other game elements include character customization and upgrades, a real-time combat system, and special Affinity relationships between characters that can affect their battle performance. I’m glad to see that Nintendo does listen to its fans, even if it takes a bit of time. This looks like a really awesome game, and I’m sure I’ll be picking it up next year.
