In an interview with Game Informer, Legend of Zelda producer Eiji Aunoma revealed that he has been thinking of making significant changes to the series. The producer told the magazine that ”as time has passed—particularly in the last few years—I’ve started to think a lot more about how I can take the series and really make it my own Zelda and evolve it further… Perhaps some people will think it’s a little bit late for me to start thinking about that, but as time goes by, that’s becoming more of a theme in how I’m approaching the series.” The full interview will be available in Volume XXII, number 1, issue 225 of Game Informer magazine.
I’ve heard a number of complaints about the Zelda series stagnating. I still enjoy the series plenty as it is, but I think the strides that Skyward Sword made were definitely for the better. I would like to see what sorts of changes Aonuma would make.
