As reported by AFP, The Louvre has partnered up with Nintendo to hand out 5,000 Nintendo 3DS game systems to help guide visitors around the Louvre. It is said that the 3DS will replace their current audio guides sometime in March. The handheld will offer maps that will pinpoint your exact location, have 7 different languages to choose from, and have themed itineraries, some of which will be kid friendly. Nintendo has supplied the hardware and created the content while the Louvre has final editorial control over it.
