Harmonix has snuck in one last DLC announcement before the new year comes in: next week, Wii owners will be able to pick up the epic, 20-minute Rush tune “2112″ off of the album of the same name. The track is split up into three parts, each one costing 200 Nintendo Points, though all three parts can be downloaded as a pack for 550 Nintendo Points. All three parts have Pro Guitar
Rush – “2112: Overture, The Temple of Syrinx”
Rush – “2112: Discovery, Presentation”
Rush – “2112: Oracle: The Dream, Soliloquy, Grand Finale”
Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners who purchase the pack will also get the ability to play the entire 20-minute track as a single song; it appears for now that Wii owners will not have this option. Purchasing the pack also will give players free Pro Guitar/Bass upgrades for each part.
I’ve never actually heard “2112″ though I hear a lot about it from Rush fans. I’ll probably end up getting it, as the allure of a 20-minute song is too much to resist.

Wake up, people. Rush’s 2112 has been in playable form on GH6; Warriors of Rock. Who needs it on Rockband also!?!
