On February 6, Nintendo will be expanding the content available at their various Nintendo Zone locations around the country. Currently, anyone who accesses a Nintendo Zone with their Nintendo 3DS system has access to information and media about 3Ds titles, trivia about the latest games, and special Best Buy coupons that give discounts on 3DS items. Starting Monday, players will be able to access playable demos of 3DS games; whether these demos are for retail titles or eShop games is unclear. There will also be a new, dedicated Pokémon section, featuring information about video games and the Trading Card Game, as well as full-length episodes of the television series. 3DS owners can click here to find participating Nintendo Zone locations in their area.
Game demos are something I would expect, but full episodes of Pokémon is pretty impressive. I wonder if Nintendo has any plans to expand in the mobile television area, maybe with a special 3DS app that can be used anywhere. Perhaps we can see reruns of the Super Mario Bros. Super Show.
