Many curious Nintendo 3DS users have discovered a way to browse the basic Nintendo Zone. In order to view the Nintendo Zone without actually leaving home, you’ll need to access your router and change the SSID to “attwifi” and select no security at all (not even WEP). This will trick your Nintendo 3DS into thinking it’s at an official hotspot and connect you up to the content that Nintendo is currently offering through the service. For the inexperienced, it’s best not to leave your router without security so you don’t get hacked. Above is a photo of my own 3DS with a saved page from when I performed this on my own network.
Unfortunately, this method does not allow for viewing of the Best Buy portions of the Nintendo Zone.
