Ace Attorney Movie To Debut At AM2

AM2, a popular anime, manga and music convention in Anaheim, CA, has announced that they will be giving con attendees an exclusive first viewing of the Ace Attorney live-action film. Originally filmed and released in Japan, this movie follows the story of the original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney video game, and features characters such as Phoenix Wright, Maya Fey, Dick Gumshoe and Miles Edgeworth, among others. The 130-minute film will have two screenings; one of the screenings is only for special Passport holders, while the other screening will seat Passport holders preferentially and then offer remaining seats to the general public. AM2 takes place June 15-17 at the Anaheim Convention Center; general admission is free to the public, while Passport badges will need to be purchased. More information can be found on the AM2 website.

While the AM2 screenings are the only American screenings currently planned, film director Takashi Miike predicts that the film will receive an international release.

If I were anywhere in the area, I would be tempted to go to the con and try to see the film, since I’m a huge Ace Attorney fan.
