Game Boy Color: Rayman, $4.99
Mr. Dark has captured all of the Electoons, and it’s up to Rayman to free them and save the Glade of Dreams. Play through 70 levels across six worlds in this Game Boy Color version of the original Rayman.
eShop: Order Up!! (demo), free
The Wii restaurant-based title comes to the eShop. As customers come into your restaurant, you’ll need to make sure they’re happy as you prepare their food using the touch screen; you’ll also need to deal with food critics and the health inspector. The 3DS version of the game has new restaurants and characters, as well as new music and re-sampled audio. The full download will be available on June 21, with a MSRP of $9.99.
eShop: Kakuro by Nikoli, $4.99
Enjoy another fun number puzzle game from Nikoli, the creator of Sudoku. The numbers in the boxes indicate totals for a given row or column, and it’s your job to find out what numbers go in what boxes. This package contains 50 puzzles created by Nikoli, as well as a random mode.
DSiWare: 99Seconds, $1.99/200 Nintendo Points
V-99 has found himself in a region known as Bit 8, and is being attacked by the Black Vectors. You’ll be able to slow down, pause or rewind time in this arcade-style shooter.
Neo Geo (Wii Shop): Metal Slug 3, 900 Nintendo Points
Metal Slug 3, which is oddly the fourth Metal Slug game, comes to the Wii Virtual Console. Marco and Tarma have another wave of slugs to blast through, including several new kinds of enemies. Collect power-ups, save POWs, and follow a branching path to the end of this classic shooter.
There’s a lot coming out for the eShop today. Order Up!! looks intriguing, as the Wii version got decent reviews. I’m not too tempted to pick up Rayman, though, since it’s the Game Boy version, and a port of the original is already on DSiWare.
